FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will my order for Coroplast® Signs take to produce?

We can produce your order in as little as 24 hours after artwork proof approval:

< $1501 - 24 Hours (1 working days) after artwork proof sign off
< $3301 - 48 Hours (2 working days) after artwork proof sign off and receipt of 30% deposit
< $10,001 - 3 working days after artwork proof sign off and receipt of 30% deposit
< $17,501 - 4 working days after artwork proof sign off and receipt of 30% deposit
< $25,001 - 5 working days after artwork proof sign off and receipt of 30% deposit
< $32,501 - 6 working days after artwork proof sign off and receipt of 30% deposit
< $40,001 - 7 working days after artwork proof sign off and receipt of 30% deposit

  • Can you custom cut Coroplast® Signs to shape?

We can custom cut Coroplast® Signs into a range of convex geometric shapes (at no extra cost) including:

    - Squares or Rectangles
    - Circles
    - Triangles
    - Hexagons
    - All of these shapes can have curved corners (you would need to advise the radius you would like for the rounded corners)

  • What radius do you suggest for rounded corners on Coroplast® Signs?

The radius of the rounded corners can be specified by our customer to suit the design of the sign. We normally recommend 1” as a suitable radius.

  • What is the variance in the cut size of your Coroplast® Signs?

Coroplast® Signs are typically ordered in sizes of 18”, 24”, 36” or 47”, but it’s important to note that there may be a 3/8 inch margin of error in the sign’s actual size. As a result, your 47” Coroplast® sign may be cut to a width of 46 5/8”. However, this margin of error is generally imperceptible to the sign’s viewers.

  • How long will the Coroplast® Signs last?

As we are using the genuine Coroplast® corrugated plastic which is manufactured in North America, we are able to provide you with a 2 year warranty on our digitally printed Coroplast®Signs. If the signs are always outdoors and exposed to UV, we warrant the signs to last for 2 years (and you won’t get that from your imported corrugated plastic signs!). If they are used indoors they will last for years!

  • What is the difference between Signflute™ and Coroplast®?

Our Signflute™ Corrugated Plastic material is imported, whereas Coroplast® Signs are the genuine Coroplast® corrugated plastic product which is manufactured in North America. Both materials are printed on our HP R2000 Latex printers in our Pennsylvania manufacturing warehouse using the same inks and printing process. The Coroplast® material can give you a 30% longer lifespan than the imported product; we expect the Coroplast® Signs to last 2 years, whereas the Signflute™ Corrugated Plastic Signs are rated to last 12- 15 months depending on the amount of UV exposure they receive.

  • Why are clear grommets better than the old metal grommets?

Clear grommets are the latest in grommet technology. The old metal grommets would block the graphic on your sign and be very noticeable - but you can see straight through the clear grommets. This allows you to see more of your graphic on the sign as the clear grommets are barely noticeable. The clear grommets are also just as strong as the metal grommets but will not rust. The signs look significantly better with the clear grommets.

  • Should I specify the direction of the flutes?

It is important to let us know if you need the flutes to run in a particular direction. This could apply if you are using the corrugated plastic sign with metal stakes (in which case you would need vertical flutes so the spikes can slide into the flutes), or if you are attaching the corrugated plastic sign to a single vertical post or telegraph pole (in which case you would need horizontal flutes to provide extra strength and prevent the sign bending around the pole). If you do not specify a flute direction the signs will be made with the flute direction that provides us with the best yield.

  • What’s the largest size my Coroplast sign can be?

The maximum sheet size is 47” x 35” - however we can make any size sign you require by supplying multiple sheets.

  • How do I order my signs cut to shape?

To get a price for your signage to be cut to shape, enter the maximum height and width in the instant pricing calculator above and select “Custom Contour” in the Cutting dropdown. When creating the artwork, we ask that it is set up with a vectored cutline as per our artwork specifications.

  • I have multiple designs, are there extra setup fees?

Yes, our price includes the set up cost for 1 design only. If you have multiple designs for the same size you will still get the lower bulk price, however there is a small multiple artwork charge applied for each additional design to cover our extra set up costs. Simply enter the total number of signs required and then the total number of designs into the pricing calculator above - and it will work out an accurate price for you.

Environmental Considerations

Environmental Considerations

Coroplast® is made from polypropylene which is a recyclable plastic resin. The plastic resin is identified as a code 5 product and most local plastics recycling centers will offer to recycle these products, please check with your local center on how to do so. The clear plastic eyelets can also be recycled in the same way.

The HP Latex inks meet the following environmental certificates and labels:
  • UL ECOLOGO
  • UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified
  • Roadmap to Zero
  • AgBB Criteria

The ink cartridges use cardboard Eco-Cartons rather than the traditional plastic cartridges which reduces plastic by 80% and CO₂e by 66% in ink production and transportation. Plus, this makes the cartridges recyclable too, further reducing waste!

We also utilize the HP Recycling Program where all of our HP Latex printhead consumables are recycled with HP and used to make new printer components.

The R2000 flatbed printer is a 6 color flatbed printer which provides more vibrant colors and sharper print quality than conventional flatbed printers. Using the latest Latex printing process with water based inks, it provides glossier prints with greater scratch resistance and no UV smell!

Lowest price and highest print quality! These do not usually go hand in hand - but the HP Latex R2000 printers’ super fast printing speeds allow us to reduce our printing costs and pass the savings onto our customers through lower prices.

Precision cutting

Precision cutting

Our Zund digital flatbed cutters cut all of our corrugated plastic signs and ensures that the signs are cut to the exact size required - and with perfectly cut edges.

No more of the old hand-cut corrugated plastic signs which inevitably had rough edges and inconsistent shape and size! The flutes in the corrugated plastic material make it too difficult to manually cut accurately - you need high tech machines to make perfect cuts.

Our digital flatbed cutters take away all the human error from cutting. They are fast and accurate and ensures that our finished Signflute™and Coroplast® corrugated plastic signs look amazing!

Our Grommets never rust!

Our Grommets never rust!

Rusty metal grommets are now a thing of the past!

Clear grommets are now standard on all of our products - at no extra charge!

Have you ever seen metal grommets on signs and noticed how they detract from the aesthetic quality of the sign? The ring of the metal grommets hides the printing and intrudes into the graphic - and can even rust!

Clear grommets make the signs look amazingly better. As they are clear you can see right through them to your graphic - and the thermoplastic polymer material is as strong as metal and will not rust.
